Enea Group Human Rights Policy
Our Principles
As a provider of software that enables secure, high-performing communications in telecommunications and enterprise networks, we are proud of the role our solutions play in advancing digital transformation and the improvements in environmental and social sustainability which accompany it.
At the same time, like all vendors operating in information and communication technology (ICT) industries, we must guard against the misuse or misappropriation of our technology for purposes which might contravene human rights and international humanitarian law in any way. We must also guard against violation of human rights within our own workplace and our value chain.
Our Policy
To ensure due diligence against potential violations, human rights risk management is integrated in our corporate governance framework (see https://www.enea.com/investors/). This governance includes specifying the standards to which we demand our suppliers and partners to adhere in our Supplier Code of Conduct, and to which we expect all staff to adhere in our internal Code of Conduct.
Both of the codes of conduct are designed to align with the principles set forth in the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) Code of Conduct and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
.
Our Processes
To address risks of product misuse and associated harmful impacts on the communities in which they are used, our corporate governance framework includes specific processes, tools and information to assist management in identifying and avoiding adverse human rights impacts.
These processes include a careful review of all potentially sensitive business by a deal committee that includes the executive team and key specialists, with sensitive business defined as any potential deal involving products that are subject to export control or have the potential for misuse, independent of contract value. The committee has declined and will continue to decline business on the basis of risk assessments that take into account the potential contracting entities and countries where products would be deployed.
